Crail to Anstruther

Last week we took a trip through to Crail in Fife to walk one of the most popular sections of the fife costal path from Crail to Anstruther.  Crail Harbour It sounds cheesy to say but Crail really is a picture postcard village! It  is one of many pretty fishing villages along the stretch of Fife Coast known as "East Nuke". Located 10 miles south of St Andrews and around a 90 minute drive from Edinburgh it is definitely worth a visit and is a great place to escape the  city. Crail has a tiny working harbour known for it's locally caught shellfish, there is also a small sandy beach - prefect for your pooch! On this occasion we skipped the beach and got on the path to walk to Anstruther. The route from Crail to Anstruther is 6.75km, we turned around and walked back to crail making the walk around 13.5km (I say around because we did venture off the path for lunch and ice cream!).
